Call from the Tunisian League for the Defense of Human Rights
Support for the Palestinian People and Call for Testimonies on the Closure of the Rafah Crossing
As part of its ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian people and demand the lifting of the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip—where civilians are facing an organized famine that amounts to a new form of genocide—the Tunisian League for the Defense of Human Rights (LTDH) is preparing to submit an urgent request for provisional measures to the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, and to report on the grave human rights violations related to this situation.
In this context, the LTDH is calling for testimonies from:
• All national and international organizations and activists who attempted to send material or financial aid through the Rafah border crossing and were denied access;
• All activists, associations or collectives who legally travelled to the Arab Republic of Egypt to support the opening of the crossing and were prevented from entering, from peacefully demonstrating, or were expelled without due process.
We invite you to share your testimonies and submit any supporting documents or evidence available. Each testimony should include:
• The identity of the witness (or the organization);
• Contact information;
• A detailed account of the events; and
• The signature (and official stamp of the organization if applicable)
A testimony form is available upon request by email at:
ltdhgaza@gmail.com
We count on your commitment, your dedication to human rights principles, and your active solidarity to ensure the success of this initiative.
Together, let’s break the blockade and end injustice.
